Randomness!
Salt caramels have won me over. I may not be able to eat regular caramels ever again.

The cute of Lagoon Engine is win. I want to draw cute kids like Sugisaki Yukiru. >.<

Supernatural and Dexter return next week!

My netbook now has the cutest vinyl decals from Etsy. Decorated laptop makes for happy during long library hours.

Ugh, school is crushing me under mountains of chapters to read, assignments to complete, papers to research and write, long stints in the library, and attendance at court trails.  Good times.  *crushed beneath stack of textbooks*

But! Halloween is coming!  I've got some little things planned for a few peeps, nothing much given the time crunch, but I can't let the holiday go unnoticed.  I love fall [even if we're no where near feeling like it here in the Southeast] with apples and leaves and beautiful colors, so the addition of ghosts, black cats, and general spookiness makes it all the more awesome.

So Sharpie makes that new liquid pencil that supposedly flows like a pen, but is erasable up to 24 hours before becoming permanent.  Work [good work, not annoying work, for those in the know] recently acquired a few and one made it's way to my desk and was promptly sketched with.  I was not overly impressed.  It's designed as a cross between mechanical pencil and gel pen--good grip and a clicky top [dangerous for those of us who will click idly without realizing it] with an eraser included.  However, unless you're holding the pencil just perfectly the flow of the liquid graphite is weak and faint.  It may just be the way that I hold the pencil and my personal tenancy to angle it to the side.  It did erase very nicely and cleanly.  It was fun to try but at the end of the day I'll stick with my old basic mechanical pencils.  Sometimes it's all about the classics.

Interesting... I may have to try one of these just because it sounds so weird. I tend to be the same way though; I've tried sketching with different things over the years and keep coming back to my good ol' .5 mechanical pencils.
