September's art challenge theme was 'windswept' and I went with Arch from the Eden world as my subject.
Arch is from a shapeshifting race that was magically put to sleep in an ice encased valley after barely surviving a genocidal war. While asleep, his people--the Elkinphyr--were changed as they slept, gaining new physical characteristics from the ice around them and the companion animals that dreamt at their sides. They've been recalled from the ice to record the histories of Eden and have tentatively ventured out into a world that they last saw many generations past and in which they've become merely legend...
Perhaps not quite so windswept as the theme described, maybe more of a gentle breeze
; I was well into the coloring on this when I realized that I hadn't drawn in his antlers. I had put it off and put it off because I need a bunch of reference pictures in order to a) draw them realistically and b) get the perspective correct. By the time I was this far in, I didn't feel like going back and drawing them in, so this pic is Arch sans his antlers. [I need to practice them, though, so I'll do another pic soon and focus on including them ^__^]

The October art challenge theme will be 'retro'. I figured that everyone would be drawing Halloween stuffs anyway, so I went with something else. ^__^

Your coloring has gotten better, as has the facial structure here so keep that up because you look like you're on the right path. Horns always give me issues so I can understand why they'd get left out, but antlers or no, it's a good pic.
I'd like it if you did reference/credit me for Eden though since it's a rehashed story/world of mine
